We train our dogs for a minimum of 6 months.
You are welcome to visit and see our dogs being trained.
We only use positive training methods and techniques.
They are trained and conditioned to live, work and operate in every environment and social situation.
They will be equally happy and obedient whether in the home or in urban and rural situations. You will not have to worry how they react in a restaurant at sporting events or near schools as their training will have prepared them for such situations. All our dogs are house trained. They spend quality time in our house being taught manners and house rules so that you can be confident that they will take to your house and home environment with flying colours.
We follow up all sales with a home visit to ensure that both you and your dog are happy and settled.
Personal Protection Training
What is a Chaperone K9 Personal Protection Dog?

A chaperone K9 personal protection dog is first and foremost a social, affable and loving family companion, trained to be exceptionally obedient and well mannered.
We pride ourselves on delivering to our client's companions who will follow their commands and direction without exception.
Furthermore, Chaperone K9 dogs are higly trained in recognising and dealing with all manner of threats, including personal attacks to you and the family, home invasion and robbery.
What training is provided?
Chaperone K9 dogs are trained on command to warn off any potential attacker with an initial display of aggression.
If this is multiple attackers the dog is trained to position itself in front of you and fan between the assailants holding them at bay with a further show of aggression.
If the assailant persists your Chaperone K9 can be commanded to neutralise the threat by biting and holding the attacker.
If the attacker has a weapon the dog is taught to bite that arm in order to try to disarm them.
Again upon command the dog will release the neutralised threat immediately continuing to hold them at bay until you instruct the dog that the threat is over.
As soon as you do this or the assailant has left the scene then your Chaperone K9 will revert back to being a social and friendly companion.
What breed of dog?
Chaperone K9 specialise in German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois. These breeds are extremely capable in personal protection have great temprements and are also very easy for our clients to handle.
This is extremely important because we do not sell on what Chaperone K9's will do for our experienced trainers we sell on what these dogs will do for our clients.
We have also trained and can supply Dobermans, Boxers, Giant Schnauzer and Dutch herders.
